For The Love of Witches!

Naturally with my love of Halloween comes a love for witches this time of year! So in honor of witches everywhere I have created two fabulous witch hats perfect to decorate your home during this fabulous and spooky holiday! Both are wood shapes, drawn and cut out by yours truly. Then I went to town with all kinds of paint, paper and other goodies. To top it off both hats can be hung by some wonderful black wire, with whimsical curls and fun Halloween colored beads! Check it out...

Each hat is $50.00. Email me if you are interested in purchasing these fun creations at alisburda@yahoo.com

Halloween! My Favorite Holiday of the Year!

Oh it's so exciting! Halloween is almost here! It's my very favorite holiday of the year. I just love the changing of the seasons, the beautiful Fall colors, the cooling temps, watching scary movies with friends and so much more! As you can see below Halloween décor and goodies are popping up around my home...

Lots of Halloween art is finding it's way into my art booth like these fun pumpkins! You can find Artsy Fartsy at the last few Farmer's Markets in downtown Madison on Saturdays, weather permitting. Artsy Fartsy can always be found in front of Ian's Pizza on State St. There are only a few markets left so come on down before it's too late!

And as you can see little Lulu girl is happy as can be burrowing under the blankets on these cooler Fall days and nights!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! I love this holiday - it is my very favorite. I hope you have a wonderful and spooktacular day! I live in a small apartment so my Halloween décor is somewhat limited but here is how I decorated my table top...

I also had great fun creating this painted wooden bowl...

Perfect for Halloween candy don't you think?! It was so much fun to make I have more in the works for the upcoming holiday season. Think bright, festive colors and lots of polka dots (of course)!

Handmade Halloween Decor

I love Halloween! I think I have mentioned that a time or two. I also love decorating for Halloween. It's so fun and festive, has great colors, and is spooky and cute all at the same time. I think the best Halloween decorations are often handmade. They are unique and creative, and you just don't find them anywhere else. Here is a fun handmade Halloween star I made and just listed on my Etsy shop. It's perfect to decorate your home and I hope you head over to my Etsy shop soon to check it out. Just click here!

Sometimes We All Need A Little Hug!

I sometimes get requests for sympathy cards, and I have always struggled with what kind of sympathy card I could create that fits with my art style. Well when I saw this guy, he just seemed to be wanting to give somebody a hug! So here is my take on sympathy with a dash of humor thrown in! I hope you like it!
The original collage is actually on a stiff vintage bingo card, and the dapper gentleman was found in an old clothing catalog! Layers of paint and paper later, this is what came out! The original will also be for sale soon.
And Halloween greeting cards are making there way to my Etsy shop! Start getting in the mood for this fabulous holiday by stopping by the shop soon!

Doris Loves Halloween!

My last Halloween collage for this year before I pack up the Halloween goodies till next year (sniff sniff)! Doris is just like me and loves Halloween, so much that she celebrates all year long! I still might add a button or some glitter for a little extra something but I think she is smashing! Don't you?
