Vintage Faux Candles

I found several of these vintage plastic light up candles at thrift stores over the holiday season and thought they were so cute and ripe for some artsy recycling! Best part, they only cost $1.00 or less, and with a little cleaning and some new light bulbs, they were as good as new!

Of course, I couldn't just let them keep being a plain old cream color. So, naturally, I took out my brush and paint and added some pink polka dots!

I think it is a little hard to get the full effect in these pictures, but trust me when I say they are really cute and are a perfect addition to my "ode to kitsch" decorating style!

Have you found any good thrift store finds lately? I would love to hear about them!
