Thoughts on Letting Go

I recently completed a journal page that was incredibly freeing for me! It was so powerful to sit down and write out all the negative thoughts I had regarding a personal matter, which had really been bogging me down for several weeks. As the words flew from my mind down to the paper, I could literally feel the weight slide off my shoulders and my mind feel so much happier, stronger, and healthier. As a result, there really wasnt' any other title to call the page but "Let Go." To go with the words, I added a pretty little bird, found in a vintage children's book, who was able to fly from her cage. Another example of how art journaling can be good for your health! I hope you enjoy!

  1. Oh yeah, journaling is very cathartic! You know what's also freeing? After writing down all the negativity on a piece of paper, rip it up and throw it away....or light it on fire and watch it all go up in smoke, taking those negative feelings with it. : )
