Handmade Dog Collars

I was recently at the pet store, looking for a new collar for my dog, Lulu. I was instantly reminded of the fact that so often dog collars in stores are ugly, expensive, and just plain disappointing. So, I decided to try my hand at making my own! And here are the results....

Of course, since my little wiener dog is a chocolate brown color, I used some of my scraps of fabric in a pretty brown with turquoise polka dots! Then cutting her old collar apart, I reused the hardware (always good to be green!) and followed this simple sewing pattern from the fun sewing blog Keyka Lou.
